Kauai was lovely - our favourite island from previous visits. I'd forgotten the chooks: because they have no predators like snakes or mongooses ((mongeese?) they breed furiously and each hen had a brood of 10 or more. The shuttle driver said "Special offer. Every tourist gets a pair to take home." Pass.
Here is David and a rooster admiring the stand of casuarinas at Anchor Cove - where we bought him a red-dirt t-shirt dyed with the local clay. Note to self: wash separately.
